This statue was created as a tribute to the hardworking rural doctors of our country. Taking the name of my address, Grey Road, the figure is modeled after Dr. Bruce Swain of Georgia. On the books beneath the chair are names of many doctors of my acquaintance. Dr. Grey's interest is so focused on the patient at hand that he has been careless with the tying of his tie (a gift from a patient) and the hanging of his jacket. On the piece of paper in his hand is a prescription made out to Tom Clark for two doses of castor oil a day! Certificate of Authenticity is included.
